At first I wanted this program to focus on pre-teen and teen girls, but I’ve been noticing more and more teenage guys struggling with body image (anorexia, steroids, etc), and I think that the ideas that Hollywood and, all of society for that matter, instills in us of what “perfection” looks like is more WAY more harm than it is good.
It really makes me sad that young men and women think they have to fit in to the category of what society believes is “perfection” to be successful in this life. There’s no such thing as perfect. And even if there was, life would be so incredibly boring.
When the time comes for me to have children, I don’t want them to think they’re not good enough to be someone special. I don’t want them to think that they need to look a certain way, act a certain way, and think a certain just to feel accepted.
I want to help these kids love themselves like they should. To accept themselves like they should. To strive to be healthy, not skinny. To take pride in their natural body shape and size.
I can’t wait to start the process of doing this. Does anyone know how I would need to get started?

I have been wanting to do something like this for awhile!! I feel like even if it was just a website it would be like a first step.
