This essay is killing me. I normally enjoy writing, but this just irritates me

I’m writing about why Americans work so much harder and longer than other countries, who get 4 day work weeks and 4-6 wks. paid vacation. There are people who have to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Americans enjoy living outside of their means and rationalize it by working more. Even if we don’t have a lot of time to spare, we need to take a few minutes to just reflect on ourselves and spend a little more time with our families. That’ all. Obviously our society instills hard work ethics and our “worth” is in our work; but what’s more important, your rhetorical worth or your happiness and family? If our country valued family as much as we do money, I think a lot of people would be happier. Money is nothing but an ugly piece of paper. What its worth is up to us. Money does nothing but cause problems. Too little money and you can’t pay your bills. Too much money and you become greedy. Take your love for money and put it into real people and things that actually matter. Things that are worth more than what money can buy. Things that are priceless.
